In working on this podcast it’s been really fun to tease out the backgrounds, expertise and knowledge from some of our amazing guests from Web3. And in today’s episode, Sam thought it would be fun to switch roles and hear more about my background and journey from Web2 to Web3.

We discussed my first business (Healthy Hemp Oil), which was in the Cannabis space. It was an online ecommerce brand helping educate people on the power of CBD and it also curated and sold my favorite products in the space.

These days you may get some eye rolls when talking about CBD because it seems that everyone and their grandma knows about it — and perhaps even uses it. But back when I started it in 2014, I used to get a lot of puzzled and confusing looks when I told people what I did.

We dive into my entrepreneurial journey of quitting my job, moving to Thailand and building this business to over $12M+ of total revenue and over 20K+ customers in our 9 year span as a company.

We also discuss how I pivoted into Web3, got involved in BanklessDAO and launched the Bounty Hunter podcast (now Quorum) with Sam.
